Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at JRO. After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Arusha. Overnight on Bed & Breakfast at the Hotel.
Day 2
ARUSH – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK (Approximately 2-3 hours drive)
Day 3
TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER (Approximately 3 hours drive)
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at the lodge. This afternoon, you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro.
Day 4
Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Lunch at the lodge in Serengeti. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5 and 6
NGORONGORO CRATER – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (Approximately 2-3 hours drive)
Two full days of game viewing in the Serengeti. Meals and overnight at the lodge in the Serengeti National Park.
Day 7
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – LAKE MANYARA (Approximately 2-3 hours drive)
Enjoy an early morning game drive, before breakfast. Return to the lodge for late breakfast then depart to Ngorongoro Highlands. Lunch at Gibbs Farm or similar. Afternoon visit to the waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Manyara.
Day 8
After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Lunch at your Lodge. After lunch, drive back to Arusha and proceed to JRO for departure flight in the evening.

Depart for a guided town tour. This tour commences with a visit to Zanzibar’s colorful market. Alive with the buzz of locals bartering fresh vegetables and baskets of tropical fruit, amongst the heady smell of Jack fruit (and many other exotic fruits) we continue on to the site of the cathedral built in 1874. The cathedral signifies a potent time in Zanzibar’s history and stands on the sight of a past slave market, its high altar standing on the exact site of the whipping post. Slavery was abolished in 1873 through a decree passed by the then current Sultan of Zanzibar. From here we visit the residence of the late Sultans of Zanzibar, ‘Tip Tip House’, the Old Fort, ‘Peoples Palace’ and the House of Wonders’, full of intrigue and vivid history from a bygone era. The tour ends with a stroll through the narrow streets of the old stone town, the heart of Zanzibar’s vivacious history with time for shopping. You will have free time in the afternoon for you to explore further on your own or to relax. In the evening, depart from the hotel for a sunset cruise along Stone Town waterfront. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Stone Town
Day 3
ZANZIBAR
Depart from the hotel for a spice tour, This involves visiting the spices growing areas to see different spices and to learn their nature, uses and taste some of them right on the spot depending on the season. In addition it involves visits to the famous spices producing area where you can see medicinal, cosmetics, ornamental plants and herbs. Most of the interesting items are cloves, nut meg, rambutan, lipstick, iodine plant, lemon grass, vanilla, henna, shampoo plant etc. You will have the unique opportunity to purchase these exclusive spices straight from the source. Finally you will visit the Kidichi Persian Baths that were built by the first Sultan of Zanzibar named Sultan Said Said bin Sultan in 1850 and Maruhubi Palace Ruins built by the third Sultan of Zanzibar named Sultan Said Baraghash Bin Said in 1880 which were built especially for housing 99 of his harem. Lunch is included. After lunch, you will be transferred to the beach hotel on the East coast. Accommodation on Half Board basis is included
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its lions. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or tented camp.
