Itinerary

Day 1

New Jalpaigudi – Kalimpong (75 Km / 03 Hrs Approx)

Pick up From Railway or Airport. Meet & Greet on arrival at New Jalpaigudi Railway station & transfer to Kalimpong. On arrival Check-in to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, relax at the hotel.

Day 2

Kalimpong Sightseeing – Gangtok

After Breakfast proceed for half day tour of Kalimpong visit Mangal Dham this temple is dedicated to Guruji Shri Mangaldasji, who first arrived here in 1940s and that eventually led to a temple being made in late 20th century. Mangal Dham temple is a large complex and relevant for Krishna devotees.

Deolo Hill located to the north-east of the town, is one of the two hills in between which the town of Kalimpong stands. The hill is also the highest point of Kalimpong town, with a height reaching up to 1,704 metre above mean sea level, From the top of this hill, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding villages of Relli valley and Teesta River along with the town of Kalimpong. In addition, there is a park located at the summit of this hill, which is constructed for recreational purposes.Dr. Graham’s Home, formerly called the St. Andrew’s Colonial Homes was founded in 1900 by Reverend Dr. John Anderson Graham. The family of Homes raises children from adolescence through their teenage years, into their adulthood by the process of taking them along the channel of a nursery Lucia king, kindergarten Queen Elizabeth Kindergarten School, Junior Section, Senior Section and, if required, employment. The Homes helps to achieve their aim of providing young people with the opportunity to become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and ultimately responsible citizens.

Golf Garden, A scenic 9-hole golf course which was conceived and laid by the army authorities. You can see the golf course from the roadside Watershed View Point. From here you also get splendid views of the mountains as well as Loleygaon. It’s located close to the Circuit House.

Durpin Dara Hills, The hill commands a panoramic view overlooking the town of Kalimpong, the snow clad Himalayan ranges of West Sikkim, the Teesta River and its valleys. Tibetan monastery is located on the Durpin hill. It was built in 1972 and has some rare Buddhist scripts that were brought here byDalai Lama from Tibet.Also visit Flowers Nurseries. After sightseeing transfer to Gangtok. On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3

Gangtok Local Sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel.Today go for full day city tour visitTashi View Point, From this point you will get a breathtaking view of Mount Kangchenjunga and Mt. Siniolchu, one of the most graceful peaks in the world.Ganesh Tok, this is temple of Lord Ganesha. It’s located at an altitude of 6,500 ft and at a hill adjacent to that of the huge TV Tower. You can see the Gangtok town, snow capped mountains including Kangchenjunga Hanuman Tok, is a Hindu temple complex which is located in upper reaches of Gangtok, the capital of Indian state of Sikkim. The temple is dedicated to lord Hanuman, the Monkey God. The temple is maintained by the Indian army Flower show, During May you can visit to Flower exhibition which held in the premises of the Government’s residence.

Cottage Industry and handicraft Centre, here you will get local traditional items, which are very popular with tourists. Carpets, available in various sizes and designs, traditional bags and other utility items, foldable Choksis, tables carved in local design, wooden masks and handmade paper are some of the various things available for sale here.Institute of Tibet logy, this internationally acclaimed centre of Tibetan Studies & Research houses a vast collection of rare Buddhist books, manuscripts and over 200 Buddhist icons.Dro Dul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok in the Indian state of Sikkim. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa, a complete set of Dorjee

Phurba, Kangyur relics (Holy Books) and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels. The stupa is surrounded by Chorten Lakahang and Guru Lakhang, where two statues of Guru Rinpoche are present.Enchey Monastery is approximately 200 years old. It belongs to the Nyingma order of Vajrayana Buddhism. Today this monastery is home to around 90 monks belonging to the Nyingma sect.It houses a number of images of Gods, Goddesses and religious objects.Ban Jhakri Falls is 100 foot waterfall is located in a landscaped park with forested area. There are paved pathways and footbridge around the park which spreads across some 2-acres of land area with many trees and flowering plants in it. There is also a manmade lake here with a dragon at the center. The entire park is themed on Shaman culture and you can see Sikkimese architecture visible all across the park. There are gazebos at several points where you can relax while soaking in the view of the flowing stream that forms at the bottom of the waterfall and the greenery all around.

After sightseeing return to the hotel.

Day 4

Gangtok

The lake derives its water from the melting snows of the mountains surrounding the lake, It is Important stopover forMigratory birds. This lake is Sacred and Worshipped by all Sikkimese.Baba Mandir, Major “Baba” Harbhajan Singh (August 3, 1941 – September 11, 1967) was an Indian army soldier who died near the Nathula Pass in eastern Sikkim, India. He is revered by soldiers of the Indian army as the “Hero of Nathula” and the army men have also built a shrine in his honor. After sightseeing return to the hotel.

Day 5

Gangtok – Pelling (150 kms / 5 hrs) via Chardham

After breakfast check out from hotel & start journey to Pelling (6,300 ft.).Enroute visit Temi Tea Garden is in Ravangla, established in 1969 by the Government of Sikkim. Temi produce top quality tea which is in demand in the international market.Samdruptse, 45mt high statue of Guru Padmasambhava lords over the forested Samdruptse ridge and is visible for miles around. This statue of the hallowed Buddhist leader sits atop a giant lotus plinth and makes for a striking photo-op. Within the complex, there’s a permanent photo exhibition of archival images documenting Sikkim’s cultural, natural and artistic History.

Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham) is a unique pilgrimage tourism venture of the Sikkim Government developed as “Pilgrim cum Cultural Centre” having a 87 ft statue of Lord Shiva and replicas of four Dhams of the country at one place at Solophok hilltop in Namchi. The four most revered Dhams of the Hindus Jagannath, Dwarika, Rameshawaram, Badrinath have been replicated in this fantastic complex to benefit the devotees and tourists in Namchi. On arrival check-in to your hotel.

Day 6

Pelling

Breakfast at the hotel.Today go for full day Pelling city tour visit .Darap Village is a small village at an altitude of 5100 ft. It offers peaceful environment. Rimbi Waterfall is 12km away from pelling, it attracts many tourist during summer.Khecheopalri Lake is a sacred Lake for both Buddhists and Hindus, which is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. It is located near Khecheopalri village. This landscape is also known as a land of hidden treasures blessed by Guru Padmasambhava Kangchenjunga Waterfall situated at a sharp curve on the road side. The falls being very big in size and equally attractive through out the year, it has become one of the leading tourist spots in west Sikkim.Pemayangtse Monastery is Buddhist Monastery near pelling. Monastery designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1705, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in west Sikkim.

Rabdentse Ruins, Rabdentse was the second capital of the former kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. The capital city was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army and only the ruins of the palace and the chortens are seen here now. Also visit to New Helipad Ground. After sightseeing return to the hotel.

Day 7

Pelling – Darjeeling ( 80km / Approx 04hrs)

After breakfast check out from hotel & proceed to Darjeeling (6950 ft) via Singla check post.

1400Hrs standard Hotel check in time (early check in request given but subject to availability of rooms and at hotel’s discretion ).

On arrival check into hotel & rest of the day will be at leisure.

Day 8

Darjeeling

Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak) The first rays of the sun shoot ahead and shed light on the twin peaks of Kanchenjunga painting it pink and then bathing it in a beautiful orange colour., on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling Monastery located at Ghum at an elevation of 8,000 feet. The monastery follows the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. There is a 15-feet high statue of “Maitreya Buddha” (Coming Buddha) in the monastery. and Batasia Loop There is no better place to get a 360 degree view of Darjeeling’s landscape including the hill town and the snow covered peaks of the Eastern Himalayas with the majestic Kanchenjunga on one side. There are seating areas to enjoy the views. The entire area along with the gardens and an approach bridge that leads to the garden is about 50,000 square feet. P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed) was established in 1958, the largest high altitude zoo in India. It specializes in breeding animals adapted to alpine conditions, and has successful captive breeding programs for the Snow leopard the critically endangered Himalayan wolf and the Red panda Tenzing Rock, a gigantic natural rock in Darjeeling is named after Tenzing Norgay, the man who created history by climbing the Everest first time along with Edmund Hillary in 1953. The right face of the rock can be used by amateur climbers or even tourists for climbing Every year Indian Army organizes rock climbing competition at the Tenzing Rock Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed) is a rehabilitation Centre for the Tibetan refugees in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region.
